Narrow Appeal

Narrow Appeal

Yes. I know. It’s Tuesday. Blame my drawing pad; it went on the fritz again, AFTER I took off my watch, and didn’t stop until about 12:10 AM. I can only assume some random device stopped broadcasting about then.

Anyway, this strip was a deliberate experiment in breaking away from the format of the last two and placing Joey and I into a wider variety of panels. I will admit – my notes, in which I record stuff, to be redrawn later, use almost entirely the talking heads format of the last panel. So you can imagine the difficulty in trying to recall events when all you see are lumpy spheres with hair.

To clarify from last strip: Joey and I are having a celebratory meal for the release of the comic; the events in the past three strips occur in the present; we’ll skip back to the past next week. I know my post WE DID IT said differently, but I’d thought I’d give some leeway. (Joey: “Let me guess: you didn’t think about it until now.” Okay, yes. Fine.)
